2K/BIBLE FAMILY
The Bible typeface family consists of three distinct yet related typefaces, all optimised for use in Bibles and other publications demanding qualities such as readability at small sizes, space efficiency and sturdiness.
Bible Sans. The Sans member of the family is the most space efficient of our typefaces. It's large x-height and shortened ascenders and descenders makes it readable in small sizes and allows for tight leading.
Bible Slab. The solid slab serifs on the Slab member of the Bible typeface family and the low contrast design makes it withstand even the toughest printing conditions. With Bible Slab, 2K/DENMARK is capable of designing a fully readable Bible in no more than 600 pages.
Bible Serif. The Serif variant is the most elegant and detailed member of the typeface family. The individual letters are narrow without feeling overly condensed. The short ascenders and descenders allow for tight leading, making it possible to fit more lines on a page. Normally this would lead to a very dense and unwelcoming text image, but due to the generously large x-height, open letterforms and sturdy serifs, each individual letter retains its distinctive character, thereby enhancing the overall readability of the typeface.
Bible Serif was shortlisted for the Creative Circle Awards 2017 in the category of Type Design.
